We opened Wild Willy's in Rochester on October 27, 2004. We chose this location because of its high traffic count on Route 125 and easy accessibility to Route 16. We were also very fortunate to be able to purchase a free standing building complete with ample parking all overlooking the Cocheco River. The city of Rochester and surrounding communities have been very supportive of our business. It has been a pleasure working with the folks here in town.
Co-owner Gerry Richard
Gerry has been in the restaurant business since 1978. His career started at Weathervane Seafoods, a New England based seafood restaurant chain. Gerry worked for the Weathervane for 22 years in various positions including 14 years as a company president. His primary responsibility was company growth and over saw the opening of 18 restaurants during his tenure.
After leaving the Weathervane in 2000, Gerry opened and operated The Dam View Restaurant in Exeter, N.H., a 60 seat restaurant overlooking the Squamscott River. The restaurant specialized in breakfast and seafood for lunch and dinner. The Dam View was awarded the seacoast's best breakfast and friendliest service 5 years running. Along with his wife Michelle, Gerry operated the restaurant until November 2004.
Gerry decided to sell the Dam View to allow his focus to be solely on insuring the success of Wild Willy's Burgers. Gerry along with his partner Tim Haley would like to open additional locations in the future.
Gerry is married with two children and resides in Kittery, Maine.
Co-owner Tim Haley
Tim Haley is a native of Dover, NH and a graduate of the University of New Hamphire. He was employed with the Weathervane Restaurants for 23 years, serving in various managerial positions in the seacoast of New Hampshire and Maine.
Tim formed a business partnership with Gerry Richard in 2004 (HR Burgers, LLC) and together they opened Wild Willy's Burgers in Rochester in October 2004.
Tim lives in Dover with his wife, Martha. Their son John is a manager at Wild Willys. Rochester is truly a family restaurant!
