Our Story

Founded in 2004 by Jim Williams – the original “Wild Willy”- we started out with a passion for good food and a love for great burgers. We quickly found a loyal customer base that cares about our brand and loves the kind of food we make, including our famous, made-to-order craft burgers, hand-cut fries and hand-spun frappes.

Today, we’re growing that following by providing even more choices for the highest quality, scratch-made food including angus beef, bison, chicken, salads, house-made chili and multiple vegetarian options.  We also offer a gluten-free menu for those seeking delicious alternatives, not to mention hand-cut chicken tenders, onion rings and even a fish sandwich at our Rochester location.

No matter what your preference, we call it “real food for real people” because knowing where your food comes from is just as important to us as knowing and serving the people who eat it. Our food is honest, not fast, and when it comes to burgers, well, they’re as real as it gets.

Lastly, we take great pride in the local and regional relationships we’ve established to both source the freshest ingredients available, and to give back to the communities that we get to call home.  Because serving our friends in York, Maine and Rochester, New Hampshire is a privilege that we take seriously, and one that our customers have grown to expect and admire.
